# MCP server

> Give any agent every tool through the hosted MCP server.

The hosted MCP server takes the same API keys as the REST API. Point your client at it with your key as a bearer
token:

```json theme={null}
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "spiral": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://mcp.spiral.ai",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer ${SPIRAL_API_KEY}" }
    }
  }
}
```

Each [tool](/docs/mcp-server/tools.md) is the REST endpoint it names, with the same scope and answer. A refusal (a disabled
provider, a spend cap) comes back as a tool error with the REST error code, never as a broken connection.
